85_pickup
I have a 1982 toyota pickup. Yesterday morning when I went to start it, it just clicked. I jumped it but no luck. So I pop started it and parked it. After inspecting the starter, I unplugged and plugged back in a wire (not the main one), and it suddenly worked. Let it set for a few hours. Just a click. I hit the starter with a hammer and it worked. What is going on? What can I do to Fix It? Thanks
humanoid
Sounds like a bad starter or starter contacts.
85_pickup
Thanks for your response. I don't think its the starter because it works well, just sometimes. Is there any connection from the silenoid to the starter? I will try cleaning the connections to the starter today. Thanks
