barkeep
I have my hands on a Mitsubishi eclipse 204 engine, and i was wondering if it was possible to drop it in the tercel without having to change the drive chain. This is my only problem.

This is my only problem. Doubtful...I think you'll have to make major changes.
barkeep
my friend just did the same thing in his 96 neon, and with boost is at 350 horses, is it possible to change the drivetrain without swoping much else?
Leighcm
Well, Chrysler and Mitsubishi have had a long standing relationship. Many of their vehicles are the same powertrain, body, etc., and parts are often interchangeable. (Think Eclipse/Talon/Laser, 3000GT/Stealth, Eclipse/Sebring, Colt/Mirage). Toyota is a completely different company, with zero affiliation with Mitsubishi/Chrysler, so don't expect parts to just bolt in.
