BirdNerd
Hi, I just purchased a 2014.5 Camry XLE and living in the NorthEast US. Someone recommended undercoating it to protect against rust, etc due to our winters and salt on the road, etc. But, someone else thought that cars don't need to be undercoated anymore. I hope to have this car for a long time, so I would appreciated input on this. Also, the car was detailed at the dealers and there is a mark on the leather seat either from the inprint of a wallet or keys or could be from a marker leaking through someone's pants. It's light, but does anyone think that a professional detailer could get this out? Thanks!
Toyota Owners Club
Generally is unnecessary as the manufacturers coat the underside with special compounds to resist corrosion to the chassis components.
Toyota Owners Club
However, there are products like Waxoyl which is a treatment to cover all components and completely eradicate any future corrosion issues
