Otts73 Posted June 20, 2016 Share Posted June 20, 2016 I have a 2014.5 Camry LE with 73k on it. Lately have had a shudder issue between 20-45mph. Only on light acceleration. I read of a transmission update for this so took it to the dealer. They told me there is an update but will have to pay for it. They also notified me I have an issue with coil on cyllinder 4 and it needs replaced along with the plugs. I had not noticed a check engine light before but went along with it. I opted to replace the coil and plugs on my own and planned to do so this weekend. Since leaving the dealer I noticed a stumble from the motor and now the check engine light is on. It has progressively got worse in a hurry. I replaced the coil and plugs as suggested using Denso coil and plugs. The problem did not change and now I'm not sure where to go with this. Has anyone else had issues with coils failing? Im curious if others are staring to fail but would rather not just throw money at it blindly. Any help appreciated.
