Drachenblut
Hello, I am wondering if the NGK V-power spark plugs I bought some time ago would be good to install into my 83' SR5? I have been told by some that the coppertop generic brand (Motomaster) flat electrode is fine, and not to waste the money, and others who say that the V-powers give a little more power/fuel efficiency due to a more complete burn? I am not sure what plugs are in my car right now, as I recently bought it and have not had time to do a tune up. I do know that when I take my foot off the gas in any gear, I get loud back-fire like pops coming from my exhaust pipe. This does not happen during acceleration or adjustment of the throttle, only when removing my foot from the pedal completely. What could be causing this? A buddy told me that it's fouled plugs, but I don't believe hear-say until backed by other opinions or evidence. Thoughts? Cheers, Drachenblut
