clunysouth
just bought a 2002 celica and the central locking remote is playing up. Initially wouldn't open the drivers door, now not doing the passenger door either. Have to use the keys on both. Remote still arms and disarms the alarm fine. Auto alarm function also still comes on (though no longer auto locks the doors). Any ideas anyone? My auto electrician says without looking it could be a whole range of stuff and will take 1-10 hours to fix. At $100/hr thats a concern to start trying to deal with. Any ideas as to what it might be and where to look first?
ulrichinson
i noticed mine can be temprimental too. mine takes a good 30 seconds to lock/unlock the doors even if your right next to the car an if you keep pressing it to make it go faster itll lock one an unlock another or some variation of such. it may just be easier to get a new pad from the dealer? maybe that would do the trick
Leighcm
Try putting a new battery in it first.
