jeffk
I have a 2005 toyota solara. While driving down the road, especially bumpy roads, you can hear a rattle that sounds like it is coming from the front part of the car. Any ideas on how to diagnose this problem or what the problem could possibly be?
humanoid
Sounds like it could be a whole host of problems. Could be worn/broken shocks, worn/broken shock mounts, worn suspension bushings and/or tie rods etc. Have a competent mechanic look at it for you and see what the problem is. I appreciate your quick response. That would be great, but unfortunately a mechanic is out of the question right now, due to a lack of funds. I am trying to figure out any diagnosis techniques for a shade-tree mechanic (me) without a car lift. Thanks!
