I had a Yaris that could be reset by turning the ignition to ON position, and then pressing and holding the A trip button. Anything like that? humanoid Posted February 12, 2009 Share Posted February 12, 2009 First you would need to find out what is setting off that light, secondly what year Taco do you have? In the 1st gen Tacos (95.5-04) you could just yank the neg. battery terminal for a couple minutes and the CEL will reset, but will come back on if you still have the problem(s) that is setting off the CEL. I forget weather its with the ignition on or off but just call your local dealer/service department, tell them your light is on & you want to reset it. They will instruct you without a problem.
