  1. Ok so this is gonna be my first engine swap like this I have an 89 corolla wagon with the carbourated 1.6l 4afe and I am getting ready to drop the 5afe engine and transmission into it. Just looking for tips and tricks for doing this. I have done some reading and I could be wrong and I probably am but should the 5afe bolt right in where the other engine was since it was an f family engine? I am pretty sure I have everything to this considering I have the whole mr2 that im pulling the engine and tranny from. All help will be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hey guys new member here also a first time toyota owner. Ok so bought my first toyota for $750 a 1989 toyota corolla wagon with a 4afe and 5 speed tranny. Friend of mine has an mr2 with a somewhat built engine in it and is not doing anything with it because it has been broken into and been through a flood. He is giving me the engine and tranny and we will be installing thay into my corolla wagon. Also thinking of supercharging it bjt havent decided yet. Gonna be doing some research around here to find out if this has been done if not will be posting a thread for questions and/or progress. Thanks for any help in advance. I should not the mr2 is a 1994 and the engine is the 2.2 5sfe
