  1. It's been almost a month since I signed on and had the issue with water in the fuel on my Highlander. Good news is it reset exactly as you told me it likely would. Took a few days and another shot of fuel and injector cleaner, but all is fine now. No lights, no codes, great MPG. Thanks to all on the forum who provided me with their knowledge. I think what finally cleaned it up was a tank of premium gas and a can of seafoam.
  2. Thanks. all I could read on the topic indicates that is probably yhr case, and your reply confirms taht is they way to go. What I'm going to do is driveit as normal for a few days (week or so) and see if the check engine light reserts. I read that the VSC light comes on when therer are engine codes because it shut off the traction control to compensate for the engine code. That too should clear up when the engine code does.
  3. Hi All, new to the forum. I recently (this saturday) had water in my Highlander due to my teenage son's negligence (gas from a lawn mower can of dubious quality). Long short is it stalled on him on the way home and would not restart. Got it home, it had maybe 1/10th of a tank or a little more. I figured it was water so I bought some Riselone water treatment to combine with the water and get it out. After about 3-4 hours, a new full tank of gas (lots of clean from MY can) and a few shots of statrer fluid and it fired up, ran rough for about 30 minutes then smoothed out. I'm getting a P0305 code (misfire on cylinder 5) but it seems to be running good. I erased the codes and drop for anotehr 45 minutes or so and the code cam back on. Question is, will it eventually reset? I also used injector cleaner. I'm hoping it will clean up as it gets driven more and the code go away. Any advice? Jack
