This noise started when it was out of warranty. It is my wife's car and I have a Lexus. I don't drive the Camry until I need to and then I adjust the seat. Everything works fine mechanically except for the noise I lubed the spiral gear under the adjustment mechanism with oil. It had a strange quirk when it somehow made the noises depending on the temperature outside. I don't exactly remember how it started, it was so many years ago. Since I don't drive the car and my wife keeps the seat at her adjustment, we just live with it.
Any ideas how to silence the noise without taking the seat apart--which I will no attempt.
