  1. OK, so I bought a 1992 Paseo with 226,XXX miles on it. A lot of miles but the car still runs damn good, and I plan on seeing just how many miles I can get on it. Still havent figuresd out the miss yet, but I'm sure I will. I'm just wanting to know that when this motor does kick the bucket, are there any other engines that will fit? All I know is that this is one quick and tough little 4 cyl. All opinions and comments are welcome.
  2. CHECK THE FUSE THATS ON THE RADIO. SHOULD BE IN A PLASTIC TUBE LOOKING COVER. THERE IS A FUSE INSIDE THERE TO. BE SURE TO EITHER REPLACE IT WITH THE SAME FUSE OR CHANGE IT TO A 10 AMP FUSE LINK. TIP: SHOULD ALWAYS DISCONNECT BATTERY BEFORE INSTALLING. JUST SOME ADVICE FROM ME WHO HAS DONE CAR STEREOS FOR OVER 10 YEARS. THAT SHOULD BE THE ONLY THING THATS WRONG IS THE FUSE THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE RADIO. I INSTALLED A SONY EXPLODE WITH AN ALPINE 4 CHANNEL AMP, 2 1" BOSS HI-FI, 2 ROCKFORD FOSGATE 6.5" 2-WAY MIDS AND A SORROUND SUBWOOFER. THE SUB ACTUALLY SOUNDS GREAT FOR A HOME SORROUND SUB. HOPE EVERYTHING WORKS FOR YOU, IF NOT LETS GET BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD. GOOD LUCK. AND A SONY
  3. WHATS UP EVERYBODY? I HAVE A 1992 PASEO 5 SPEED. JUST BOUGHT IT ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. IT HAS 229,XXX MILES ON IT, AND STILL SEEMS LIKE THE ENGINE HAS A LOT OF LIFE LEFT IN IT. ANYWAY, I CHANGED THE PLUGS, WIRES, CAP, ROTOR, FUEL FILTER, PCV VALVE AND PUT A SHORT RAM AIR INTAKE ON IT. RUNS GREAT, BUT DEFINATLY HAS A MISS WITH THE A/C ON. NOT SO NOTICEABLE WITH A/C OFF, BUT I CAN TELL IT'S THERE. NOW WHEN I DRIVE IT FOR A FEW HOURS DURING THE DAY, IT STARTS TO MISS SOMETHING HORRIBLE. STARTS JUMPING LIKE A PERSON DRIVING A STANDARD FOR THE FIRST TIME. I PULLED OVER AND LET IT COOL FOR 10 MINUTES AND IT WAS OK AFTER THAT. STILL MISSES, BUT NOT LIKE IT DID. MY THOUGHTS ARE ONE OR A COMBINATION OF : COIL GETTING HOT AND LOSING SPARK STRENGTH, CAT GETTING HOT AND CLOGGED UP, SENSOR ALTHOUGH NO LIGHTS ARE ON, DISTRIBUTOR GETTING HOT AND LOSING SPARK STRENGTH.
