You can mount a towbar on the chassis, tow hitch brackets. It has been working successfully. Our query is that when the new petrol/electric Toyota RAV4 comes out it will surely have a towbar fitted on, we understand that it is a bigger engine and bigger vehicle, but the Prius does not loose a lot of petrol economy, so we cannot understand why there is not an approved towbar for the Prius.

Toyota do not do a towbar for the Prius as they say it looses economy (which we are already aware of). We wondered if there was an equivalent make of towbar which would fit the Prius.

I definitely agree that Hybrid is definitely the way forward. I could not drive anything else now. No gear change, smooth running. It is a fantastic car, I am waiting to see how much the Toyota RAV4 petrol/electric costs, but I still wouldn't change it for my Prius.
